Clipping in France in numbers
The French clipping market is less than three years old and has almost no public data. Here are the figures we see on our campaigns, published as a benchmark for the market.

What a clipper earns
Between €1.10 and €3 per 1,000 views, with no cap per clip.
A clipper's pay at Virality® is indexed on the views generated, with a CPM of €1.10 to €3 per 1,000 views depending on the campaign. The range depends on the brand, the topic and the budget committed. In earnings per clip, a strong clip brings in between €20 and €500. A clip that passes a million views earns €1,100 to €3,000 on its own, with no cap. That last point is a structural difference from several platforms on the market that cap pay per video, often around €50. Over a full campaign, a regular clipper commonly earns several thousand euros.
What a campaign costs
The cost per view in organic remains well below paid.
On TikTok Ads or Meta, an awareness campaign CPM in France usually sits between €5 and €15 excl. VAT, for ad inventory that is explicitly labelled as such. In clipping, the cost per thousand is structurally lower, on content that circulates organically. The trade-off is real: no precise targeting, no guaranteed schedule, no volume assured on a fixed date. Paid buys predictability, clipping buys cost and credibility. A credible starting budget begins around €1,500 excl. VAT per month, below which a campaign does not reach the critical mass needed to mobilise clippers.
What a network produces
The volume gap between an in-house team and a network is an order of magnitude.
An in-house team typically produces five to ten clips a week. A network of active clippers produces several hundred a month from the same source material. This is not a difference of degree but of nature: since distribution is unpredictable, only the number of shots on goal regularly produces clips that break through. A source library of twenty to thirty hours feeds a campaign for several months without running dry. Below ten hours, the material runs out in three to four weeks and returns drop.
